The Sculpture Walk Across Nebraska (SWAN) has added a new dimension to the cultural landscape of North Platte, as the city joins Norfolk, Grand Island, and Valentine in this unique artistic endeavor. For the first time, North Platte is proudly hosting a segment of this rotating sculpture walk, which aims to infuse the community with captivating, educational, and entertaining art while attracting visitors to the Historic Canteen District in Downtown North Platte.

The North Platte Sculpture Walk features seven stunning outdoor art sculptures, each selected to engage the public and enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal. These installations represent a blend of creativity and craftsmanship, offering both locals and tourists an opportunity to experience art in an accessible outdoor setting.

This project is the result of a collaborative effort between the North Platte Downtown Association, Prairie Arts Center, and the City of North Platte. Their shared vision has brought this vibrant art initiative to life, aiming to foster a deeper appreciation for the arts within the community and beyond.

For those interested in exploring the sculptures and learning more about each piece, additional information can be found at this link.

The SWAN project not only enriches North Platte’s cultural offerings but also underscores the city’s commitment to supporting the arts and creating engaging public spaces. As visitors stroll through the Historic Canteen District, they will find themselves immersed in an artistic journey that celebrates both local and national talent.
